Who we Are
Immigration enforcement actions continue to expand across Minnesota, with the Mexican community being disproportionately targeted. Families are facing sudden detention, loss of income, housing instability, and the risk of losing everything they have worked for.
As the Mexican community, we cannot stand by and watch our people suffer under an unfair system.
Mexican Nurses for Community Care MN is a volunteer-led mutual aid effort launched by Mexican nurses in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. We are coming together to support members of our community during this difficult moment by providing emergency assistance for rent, utilities, and immigration bond fees.
According to recent data, there are 229,576 Mexican people living in Minnesota, with 61% residing in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The impact of these enforcement actions is being felt directly in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and families.
Our work is rooted in care, dignity, and solidarity. Every request for assistance is carefully reviewed and verified before support is provided. Once verified, requests may be shared through our public tracking system to ensure transparency and community trust.
This initiative is 100% volunteer-run. No one receives a salary. Every dollar donated goes directly toward helping families remain housed, keep essential utilities on, and reunite loved ones through bond support.
If you are in need of assistance, we invite you to complete our confidential request form.
If you are able to give, your contribution helps protect families and strengthen our community during a time of urgent need.
What We Do
We provide direct, emergency support to individuals and families in the Mexican community who have been impacted by immigration enforcement actions, including detention by ICE. These actions often happen suddenly and without warning, leaving families without income, at risk of eviction, and struggling to meet basic needs.
Founded and led by Mexican nurses in the Twin Cities, our work is rooted in care, urgency, and lived experience. We understand the emotional, financial, and physical toll these situations create, and we respond with dignity and solidarity.
Our support includes:
- Emergency rent assistance to prevent displacement and homelessness
- Utility support to ensure families maintain access to electricity, water, and heat
- Immigration bond assistance to help secure the release of detained loved ones
- Short-term crisis relief for families facing sudden loss of income due to detention
Every request for assistance is carefully reviewed and verified to ensure support reaches those most in need. Once verified, cases may be shared through our public tracking system to maintain transparency and community trust.
We are a 100% volunteer-run mutual aid effort. No one receives a salary. Every dollar donated goes directly to helping families remain housed, keep essential utilities on, and reunite loved ones.
We exist because our community cannot wait. When ICE enforcement harms our people, we show up—together.
